We are seeking an exceptional Head of Creative Arts to lead Art and Music across the whole school, while also teaching within our Boys Secondary & Senior School.

What you’ll doLead and develop Creative Arts (Art & Music) across the whole school, ensuring a coherent, ambitious and engaging curriculum pathway from Primary through to Secondary/Senior.
Teach Creative Arts lessons in the Boys Secondary & Senior School (Art and/or Music, depending on specialism and timetable).
Drive high-quality teaching and learning through modelling best practice, coaching colleagues, and supporting consistent planning, assessment and moderation.
Champion inquiry-rich, skills-based learning that builds creativity, cultural appreciation, performance/creative confidence, and critical thinking.
Use assessment intelligently to inform teaching, interventions and enrichment; ensure clear, timely feedback for students and communication with parents.
Lead departmental operations: resources, budgets (where applicable), events planning, and safe, effective use of specialist spaces (art rooms, performance spaces, instruments, materials).
Enrich whole-school life by developing clubs, productions, exhibitions, performances, competitions, and community partnerships.
Work closely with school leadership to embed Creative Arts within the wider curriculum and school values, including cross-curricular projects and whole-school events.
About youA degree in Art, Music, Performing Arts, or a related field, plus a recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE/QTS or international equivalent).
