The RoleWe are seeking an outstanding Head of Boarding (Mandarin speaking) to lead and develop our boarding provision. This is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring a safe, nurturing, and high-quality residential experience that supports students’ academic, social, and emotional development.
The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the boarding strategy, fostering a strong sense of community, and maintaining the highest standards of pastoral care and safeguarding.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic leadership for the Boarding Department in alignment with the school’s vision and values
Lead and manage a diverse boarding team including dorm mentors and support staff
Ensure student welfare, safeguarding, and wellbeing are at the centre of all boarding practices
Develop and implement a rich boarding programme that enhances students’ personal and social development
Maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and academic staff
Oversee daily boarding operations, ensuring consistency, structure, and high standards across all dormitories
Monitor student behaviour, wellbeing, and engagement, working closely with academic and pastoral teams
Contribute to whole-school development planning as a member of the leadership team
