Head of Boarding and Teacher of Humanities

We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and proactive Head of Boarding and Teacher of Humanities to join our pastoral and teaching team. The Head of Boarding plays a crucial role in the daily lives of our vibrant and busy boarding and day School. The Head of Boarding will act “in loco parentis” for the boarders, providing the best possible experience of a boarding environment, creating a home from home.This role involves working closely with pupils, parents, and staff to ensure the smooth running of the boarding house. The Head of Boarding will be responsible for welfare and safety, as well as activities for all the boarding pupils in the House during the week and weekends. You will be expected to teach a reduced timetable, ideally in History, delivering engaging, challenging and inspiring lessons that foster curiosity, confidence and a genuine love of learning. Whilst experience of teaching History would be advantageous, we welcome applications from outstanding teachers with the enthusiasm, aptitude and willingness to develop their expertise in the subject.
