Head of Art Teacher (Secondary)

This is an outstanding opportunity to assume the position of Head of Art Teacher (Secondary) at Reigate Grammar School Kuala Lumpur with a January 2026 start. Role Overview: This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Head of Art to join our growing team. The main responsibilities of the post will include: teaching art at GCSE and A Level; teaching lower secondary art; lead the Art Department activities as required; lead the administration of the department; working as part of a cohesive departmental team and sharing fully in the work of the department; helping to promote and encourage the study of art at RGSKL. Qualifications: Essential: A UK or Internationally recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent). A bachelor’s degree in Art or a related field. Experience: Experience working in a British Secondary School, British International Secondary Schools or with the British curriculum. Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience and be able to demonstrate a high level of subject expertise. Skills, Abilities & Knowledge: Good knowledge of the subject/s being taught and a good understanding of GCSE/A-level requirements. Effective classroom management with an ability to manage the class and resources effectively to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students, as well as collaborate with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders.
