We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Academics and Sixth Form to join our leadership team. Position: Head of Academics and Sixth Form Job Overview: The Head of Academics and Sixth Form will provide strategic leadership for the academic programs across all year groups with a special focus on the sixth form. This role involves overseeing curriculum development, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning, supporting staff professional development, and fostering an environment that promotes student achievement and well-being. Skills and Qualifications: - Bachelor Honours Degree (minimum requirement) in Education or relevant subject area - Minimum 8 years’ experience in teaching with at least 2 years in a leadership role within an academic setting - Strong knowledge of the British curriculum including A-levels or equivalent sixth form qualifications - Proven ability to lead teams effectively, manage change, and drive continuous improvement - Excellent communication skills with students, parents, staff, and external stakeholders - Competence in data analysis to monitor student progress and inform instructional strategies - Experience mentoring teachers to enhance pedagogical practices Values and Attitudes: - Commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct - Passionate about inspiring students towards academic excellence while supporting their holistic development - Collaborative mindset with openness to feedback for personal growth as well as team success - Resilient leader who can adapt positively under pressure while maintaining focus on school goals - Dedication to creating an inclusive learning environment that respects diversity I
