Head of 3D Design

We are seeking an enthusiastic and inspirational Head of 3D Design to lead the subject across Years 7-11. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic educator to shape a creative, future focused curriculum and drive excellence in teaching and learning, from either January, April or September 2027, on a 0.8FTE to full-time basis. The successful candidate will oversee GCSE 3D Design curriculum, lead schemes of work, and ensure pupils experience a rich, ambitious and innovative design education. Key Responsibilities · Lead and develop the 3D Design curriculum, including GCSE. · Inspire high quality teaching, learning and pupil progress. · Ensure coherent, well-sequences Schemes of Work across Years 7–11. · Monitor assessment, track progress and oversee interventions. · Contribute to departmental planning, resource management and staff training. · Manage classroom technicians We are looking for someone who: · Is an excellent classroom practitioner with strong subject knowledge in 3D design, which should include graphics, product design, architecture, ceramics, sculpture and jewellery making · Has experience leading curriculum development and achieving strong GCSE outcomes. · Brings energy, clarity of vision and a collaborative approach. · Holds QTS and has proven GCSE teaching experience.
