About this role
Ardingly College is seeking to recruit an experienced Groundsperson responsible for maintaining amenity and horticultural areas to a high standard throughout Ardingly College and Great Walstead School.
The successful candidate will work as part of the Grounds Team to maintain and develop both schools’ extensive sports facilities, landscaped areas and the wider estate to the highest possible standards. Responsibilities include the day-to-day preparation and upkeep of sports pitches and outdoor spaces through activities such as mowing, aeration, fertilising, line marking, renovations and repairs, as well as supporting school events, fixtures and external lettings.
Hours of Work: This is a full-time, year-round role for 40 hours per week. The standard working pattern will be 7.00am to 3.30pm (inclusive of a 30-minute paid lunch break and a 30-minute unpaid break). There is a need for members of the team to be on a rota to undertake work on Saturdays, which equates to approximately nine Saturday mornings per annum.
Salary: £28,553 per annum.
