We Are
The Royal Alexandra and Albert School exists to give our children a distinctly different start in life, preparing them for the world with hope, optimism, compassion and empathy.
We are a co-educational, non-selective state boarding school, for boys and girls aged 7 - 18. This is a boarding school with Flexi Boarding students attending from the local area and a lively community of around 300 Full Boarders, passionately involved in a wide range of after-school and weekend activities and trips.
Our Ofsted inspection of March 2024 states ”pupils are happy and well cared for at Royal Alexandra and Albert School. They benefit from positive relationships with staff across the school. Pupils feel safe, confident that if they report any concerns or worries they will be dealt with”.
As our Co-Curricular and Sporting programmes continue to flourish, we are seeking high-calibre graduates to join our team as a Graduate Assistant: Sport and PE.
We are looking for dynamic individuals who view sport not just as a subject, but as a life-changing pursuit. We want to find energetic role models who can seamlessly bridge the gap between high-level performance and nurturing education within our prestigious boarding environment.
About the Role
The Graduate Assistant plays a pivotal role in the vibrant sporting life of RAAS. This unique position blends high-level coaching support with the essential administrative coordination required to operate a complex multi-sport programme and fixture list. The successful candidate will act as a technical role model in PE lessons and competitive fixtures, whilst serving as the operational engine of our Sports Administration Hub.
Located within our beautiful estate, the school offers a welcoming and purposeful environment. Our dedicated team works collaboratively across the campus, supporting students on the sports fields, in the classrooms and within our boarding houses.
