About this role
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, enthusiastic graduate to join a vibrant and successful department in supporting the delivery of PE within the School. The post is for the academic year 2026-2027 on a fixed-term basis.
The successful applicant will be willing to carry out a wide range of duties in support of the PE department and contribute to the provision of the extracurricular sports. It would be advantageous to be able to coach two of the major sports of football, netball, lacrosse, tennis, athletics and cricket.
Key responsibilities
The post-holder will report directly to the Director of Sport. Specific duties are:
To assist and teach a variety of activities in lessons, including taking small groups of students, or certain aspects of the lesson as appropriate to the successful candidate.
To coach teams and clubs during mornings, lunchtimes, after school sessions and at weekends, as deemed appropriate by the Director of Sport.
Attend fixtures and umpire appropriate matches which include weekends, as deemed appropriate by the Director of Sport.
Assisting with some administrative duties to support the department.
Take an active role within the department and an appropriate share of responsibilities, including attending department meetings.
