Position: Senior Primary Homeroom Teacher Location: VISS Tilal Campus Curriculum: Australian Curriculum with IB PYP framework Education Stage: Senior Primary / Transition to Middle School Position Type: Full-time Teacher Job Description: The successful applicant will teach Grade 5. In Grade 5, the teacher will guide students through the final year of primary school, including active involvement in the PYP Exhibition. This position would suit an educator with strong PYP experience, particularly someone with a sound understanding of and engagement in the PYP Exhibition process. Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (minimum requirement) At least 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in upper primary Strong knowledge of standards-based frameworks (Australian curriculum experience would be highly regarded though not essential) Experience teaching in a PYP school, having been actively involved in PYPX either as a grade teacher or mentor Ability to balance a structured, explicit teaching approach with opportunities for inquiry and student voice Experience supporting students’ transition to more independent learning Excellent classroom management and communication skills Proficiency in integrating technology into teaching and learning Commitment to continuous professional development Values and Attitudes: Passion for supporting students at a key developmental and transitional stage Collaborative mindset, with a willingness to work closely with colleagues across both primary and middle school Respect for cultural diversity within an international school setting Patient, adaptable, an
