Grade 5 Homeroom Teacher

Unity Concord International School is seeking an experienced and dedicated Grade 5 Homeroom Teacher to join our elementary division. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning, supporting academic growth, student well-being, and strong home–school partnerships, while fostering a positive and inclusive classroom culture. This role works collaboratively with grade 5 homeroom team (5 teachers total), and specialist teachers to ensure effective implementation of the curriculum, strong student outcomes, and alignment with the school’s mission and strategic goals. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with school curriculum frameworks and expectations for Grade 5 Create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that supports student well-being, belonging, and achievement Differentiate instruction to meet a range of learning needs and support students in developing independence and responsibility as upper primary learners Assess student learning, provide timely feedback, and use data to inform planning and instructional decisions Maintain accurate records of student progress, achievement, and behaviour, and contribute to reporting cycles Communicate effectively with parents/guardians to support student learning, well-being, and home–school partnerships Collaborate with colleagues, including specialists and support staff, to meet the needs of diverse learners Promote positive behaviour and classroom routines, supporting students’ self-management and readiness for middle school transition Participate in grade-level meetings, staff meetings, school events, and professional learning opportunities Uphold school policies and expectations related to safeguarding, professionalism, and student welfare Qualifications: Required: Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant subject area from an accredited institution Recognised teaching licence, credential, or ce
