General Teacher Outdoor LearningSpring Hill School, Ripon, North Yorks.Salary: £20,810.40 + SEN Allowance of £1325.40 per annum22.2 hour per week, term time We have an opportunity for a dedicated and flexible General Teacher Outdoor Learning to join our specialist residential SEN School and Children’s Home for students aged 8-19 with Autism, SEMH and associated learning difficulties. We are looking for someone who is passionate about the teaching profession and has the drive and vision to deliver a high-quality service. We offer a bespoke curriculum with teaching taking place in small classes, or on individual educational programmes tailored to the needs each learner. The main purpose of the role is to be responsible for the learning and achievement of all students in the class/es ensuring equality of opportunity for all, particularly in relation to enrichment opportunities such as outdoor learning/horticulture You should be: An experienced practitioner, able to teach a range of subjects at all levels (KS2-5) Well organised and able to plan a structured and engaging learning environment Practical, creative and inventive, with a good sense of humour Resilient and able work in a fast-paced environment Able to respectfully interact with people in a variety of ways Dynamic, proactive and solutions-focused Able to contribute to the schools multi-disciplinary team approach Able to manage and understand complex behaviours Spring Hill School Cambian Spring Hill School is a 38 - 52 week residential and day school for children and young people aged 8-19 with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder, associated challenging behaviours, learning and communication difficulties and complex needs.
