The successful candidate will deliver engaging French lessons across upper primary and secondary levels, supporting students in developing strong skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening. The role focuses on building confidence in language acquisition while fostering a genuine appreciation of French language and culture. The teacher will create interactive and creative learning experiences, support individual learning needs, integrate technology into language teaching, and contribute to wider school life through cultural and language-related activities. Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver high-quality French lessons across upper primary and secondary levels Plan engaging, student-centered lessons that develop communication and language fluency Support the development of reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills Assess student progress regularly and provide clear, constructive feedback Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners Integrate digital tools and language learning technologies to enhance engagement Promote French culture through classroom activities and school events Encourage student participation in language-related activities and competitions Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices within the MFL department Skills and CompetenciesNative or near-native proficiency in French Strong understanding of modern language teaching methodologies (MFL) Familiarity with Key Stage 2–3 and secondary language curriculum expectations Ability to create engaging and interactive language lesso
