Founding Head of Secondary & English or STEM

Tirana American International School (TAIS) is a new international school in Albania, preparing to launch and offering a high-quality education aligned with the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP). We are seeking a Founding Head of Secondary to lead the development of our secondary section. This is a combined leadership and teaching position for the founding year, where the successful candidate will oversee the establishment and day-to-day operations of the secondary school, support the implementation of the IB MYP, ensure high standards of teaching and learning, and guide teaching staff, while also teaching within their subject area. The teaching profile should be either English Language & Literature or Mathematics and/or Integrated Sciences; for the English profile, candidates with native or near-native English proficiency will be highly regarded. Candidates should hold a degree in a relevant field, demonstrate strong English proficiency (C1–C2), and have teaching experience in secondary education; familiarity with the IB MYP and prior leadership experience are considered an advantage.
