Foreign Language Assistant - Spanish

Required: Sept 2026 Contract: 7 - 8 hours per week in term time. Fixed term until June 2027 Salary: £20-25 per hour dependant on experience The London Academy of Excellence (LAE) is seeking to appoint a fluent speaker of Spanish on a casual basis to the post of Foreign Language Assistant. The role of the assistant is to conduct one-to-one conversation lessons in the target language with our A-level linguists and support the development of resources in the Modern Foreign Languages department. The ideal candidate should have a keen interest in education and willingness to develop students’ confidence and ability to communicate in the target language. They should also be familiar with the A Level curriculum in Spanish. (LAE students are taught the AQA specification). This role would ideally suit candidates who are native to or studying for a degree in Spanish, or those with experience of tutoring or teaching these subjects in the past. The academy is oversubscribed and due to take occupancy of new premises in Sept 2026.
