Food Technology Technician

Chaucer School is about to join Mercia Learning Trust and will open in September 2026 as Mercia Northridge School, the eighth school to join our trust. RoleWe are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Food Technology Technician.​ You will join a school that is building an incredible culture to become the best school in the north of Sheffield. The role will involve monitoring and managing stock levels, liaising with suppliers, ordering ingredients and ensuring correct storage in line with food safety standards. The post holder will also support the practical and technical delivery of lessons, including preparing resources, maintaining equipment, assisting with demonstrations and events, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness, including regular and annual deep cleaning. You will hold a relevant qualification in Food Technology, Catering or a related subject, have GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent), and be a reliable team player with strong organisational skills and the ability to support a safe and positive learning environment.
