About this role
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and creative Food Technology Teacher to join our Prep School from September. This is an exciting opportunity to teach across Years 2 to 6 in a nurturing environment where practical learning and curiosity are highly valued.
The role will be based in our brand-new, purpose-built Food Technology room, which will be ready for use from September. This dedicated space is designed to support hands-on, practical learning and will provide an inspiring environment for pupils to develop confidence, independence, and key life skills through cooking.
The successful candidate will be able to plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons, supporting pupils as they progress from early food exploration in Year 2 through to more structured practical skills in Year 6. You will be confident managing small groups, maintaining a safe and well-organised working environment, and fostering a positive attitude towards food and healthy living.
We are looking for someone who brings energy, imagination, and a genuine passion for working with younger children. Experience in a prep or primary setting is highly desirable, and the ability to inspire confidence and enjoyment in cooking is essential.
This part-time role (2โ3 days per week) offers excellent facilities, small class sizes, and the opportunity to shape a developing area of the curriculum within a supportive and forward-thinking Prep School.
If you are excited by the idea of introducing pupils to the joy of cooking in a creative and well-resourced environment, we would be delighted to hear from you.
