We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, ambitious and enthusiastic Teacher of Food & Nutrition, with the ability to teach a second subject such as Art, Design Technology or Product Design.
Food & Nutrition is a valued and popular subject within our Creative Arts and Technology faculty. We offer NCFE Level 1/2 Technical Award in Food and Cookery at Key Stage 4, alongside a broad and engaging Key Stage 3 curriculum. The department benefits from excellent facilities, including a dedicated food room, specialist teaching spaces and strong cross-curricular collaboration across Art, Product Design and Textiles.
You will be joining an ambitious and committed team. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate strong subject knowledge, including a secure understanding of food preparation, nutrition, health and safety, and contemporary issues relating to food education. You will be expected to teach Food & Nutrition at Key Stages 3 and 4, with the ability to contribute to teaching in a second subject area such as Art, Design Technology or Textiles.
The successful candidate will be joining a well-established and successful team and will be expected to participate fully in the leadership of the department and contribute to wider school systems leadership.
