Job Description:
As a Food Technology Teacher at New Woodlands School, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering effective lessons that inspire students’ interest in food science and technology. You will support student development through practical activities, theoretical knowledge, and assessment aligned with the Key Stage 3/4 curriculum.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years teaching experience in Food Science/Technologies or related subjects within secondary education.
- Qualified to teach BTEC level 1-2.
- Strong understanding of the Key Stage 3/4 curriculum requirements.
- Ability to design creative lesson plans that engage diverse learners.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Proficient in using educational technology to enhance learning experiences.
- Good communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE or equivalent).
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
