As part of our growth strategy, The Aurora Group are really pleased have recently opened a brand new SEND Secondary School in September 2025 in Chaldon, Surrey for young people aged 11-16 who require support with social communication, emotional regulation and sensory processing, typically associated with Autism. All of our students have access to a broad and exciting curriculum, allied to the national curriculum, personalised to meet their needs, interests and passions. With a model of small classes, high levels of classroom support and a supernumerary multi-disciplinary intervention team we are able to give students “every opportunity to achieve”
We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative teacher with a passion for Food Technology and a commitment to delivering engaging, practical learning experiences that inspire young people. The successful candidate will enjoy helping students develop valuable life skills, independence and confidence through a hands-on curriculum.
As a growing and innovative specialist school, we value adaptable practitioners who are keen to contribute to the wider curriculum and school community. Whilst Food Technology will be the primary focus of this role, there may be opportunities over time to teach or support learning in other subject areas, reflecting both your individual strengths and interests and the evolving needs of our students.
