Financial Controller

Kingston Grammar School is looking to recruit a Financial Controller to join the finance team. The Financial Controller is responsible for the day-to-day management of the financial activities of the school. The Financial Controller provides cover for the Director of Finance in their absence. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the DF and the senior leadership (Executive) team. Candidates will need to be a qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA or equivalent) with demonstrable experience in a similar role. You will have knowledge of managing people, operations, financial and budgetary management and be able to demonstrate solid financial and commercial acumen. You can work both independently and as a key team member with a strong yet collaborative management style. The school welcomes applications from a broad range of professional backgrounds; prior experience of working in a school may be an advantage, but is not a prerequisite. The role is offered on a full-time, permanent contract working 40 hours per week for 52 weeks a year. The holiday entitlement is 25 days plus bank holidays and an additional 2 grant days during the festive period.
