Finance Manager

We are seeking to appoint an experienced and proactive Finance Manager to join the busy Finance Team at George Abbot School. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this is a key role responsible for delivering effective financial management, ensuring strong financial control, compliance with Trust procedures, and accurate financial operations across the school. The successful candidate will oversee core accounting processes, including payroll, budget monitoring and financial reporting, while supporting strategic planning and enabling senior leaders to make informed decisions. They will line manage finance support staff, act as an escalation point for payroll and finance queries, and contribute to audits and continuous improvement initiatives. We are looking for a candidate with strong financial expertise and senior-level experience, excellent organisational and analytical skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities. They will be a confident communicator, able to work collaboratively with stakeholders and deliver to strict deadlines with accuracy and professionalism.
