About this role
New Collaborative Learning Trust is looking for a Finance Assistant to join our central Finance Team and support the effective delivery of finance services across our three secondary schools.
This is a varied and important role where accuracy, organisation and good communication really matter. You will help process orders and invoices, obtain authorisations, respond to finance queries, support staff with the finance system, follow up outstanding orders, process credit card transactions, reconcile statements and assist with the Trust’s online payment systems. You will also liaise with colleagues, suppliers, auditors and other stakeholders, helping to ensure our financial processes run efficiently and professionally.
This role would suit someone looking for a part-time finance position with variety, stability and purpose — perhaps someone returning to work, building their finance experience, or seeking a role that fits around their life outside of work while still making a valued contribution.
We are looking for someone with strong IT and administration skills, a good standard of maths, excellent attention to detail and a customer-focused approach. Experience in finance, banking, ordering, invoicing or cash handling would be an advantage, but just as important is your enthusiasm, flexibility and willingness to learn. You should be confident communicating with staff and students, able to work well as part of a team, and organised enough to use your own initiative when needed.
In return, we offer a positive, supportive culture, a strong commitment to staff wellbeing, access to high-quality professional development, the Local Government Pension Scheme, and benefits including cycle to work and technology schemes.
