About this role
Millfield School is seeking a Finance Assistant to join our busy Fees team, playing an important role in supporting accounts receivable activities and delivering a high standard of service to parents and colleagues.
Job Responsibilities
Assist with processing fee payments, invoices and refunds accurately and efficiently
Monitor outstanding balances and support the timely collection of payments
Maintain accurate records on finance systems and spreadsheets, including Excel
Respond professionally to enquiries from parents via phone and email
Support the team with termly billing, instalment plans and general finance administration
Assist with debt monitoring and other routine finance and office duties as required
About You
Previous experience in a finance, accounts or administrative role
Strong numeracy skills with excellent attention to detail
Confident using Excel and financial systems
Highly organised, able to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
A proactive team player who can also work effectively on their own initiative
Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
Working Hours and Salary
This is an office-based, year-round role working 9.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday.
The salary is up to £25,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with an excellent benefits package.
