Finance Administrator

Salary: £13.34 - £14.43 per hour Position Type: Permanent Full-Time Term Time Only Location: Cedars School Hours: 40 Additional Information: Term time only + 3 weeks (42 weeks per year) Finance Administrator Do you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for finance? At Aurora Cedars School, we're looking for a proactive and organised Finance Administrator to join our team and play a vital role in keeping our school running efficiently. What you'll be doing In this varied and hands-on role, you will: 💼 Manage day-to-day financial administration across the school 🧾 Process purchase orders, invoices, and supplier queries 📦 Coordinate ordering, deliveries, and goods receipting 💳 Reconcile petty cash and purchasing cards 🤝 Work closely with the Central Finance team to ensure accurate and timely payments 📊 Provide financial data, reports, and support to colleagues and managers ⚙️ Support process improvements and help implement new finance systems 📚 Assist with booking training, travel, and accommodation You'll be central to ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across the school. About you We're looking for someone who is: ✔ Highly organised with excellent attention to detail ✔ Confident working with numbers and financial processes ✔ A strong communicator who can explain financial information clearly ✔ Proactive, solution-focused, and able to work to deadlines ✔ A collaborative team player with a positive, can-do attitude What you'll need Bookkeeping qualification or AAT Level 2 (or equivalent) Experience working in a finance or administration role Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Excellent numerical and accuracy skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Desirable: Experience in an education setting What we offer 💙 A supportive and friendly team environment 📚 Ongoing training and development
