Experience:-
- working with children, young people or families in a school or community setting
- supporting vulnerable individuals or those facing barriers (attendance, wellbeing, behaviour)
- building positive relationships with hard-to-reach families
- working as part of a multi-disciplinary or pastoral team
Role Overview:
As a Family Liaison Worker, you will support communication between the school and families, helping to build strong relationships that promote student wellbeing and engagement. This role involves working closely with parents, carers, and staff to ensure families feel welcomed, informed, and supported throughout their child’s education.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to listen actively and empathetically
- Organised with good time management skills
- Willingness to learn new skills on the job
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and correspondence
-Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Knowledge of the role of Early Help and early intervention
- Awareness of professional boundaries
and confidentiality
