Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Family Liaison Officer to join our team in an Other Support Position role. The successful candidate will act as a vital link between the school, students, and their families, helping to foster positive relationships and improve communication. This role requires at least one year of relevant experience working with children or families within an educational or community setting. Skills and Qualifications: - Minimum of 1 year’s experience in family liaison, pastoral care, or similar support roles - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to build trusting relationships with students, parents/carers, and staff members - Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively - Understanding of safeguarding procedures and confidentiality requirements - Basic IT skills for record keeping and correspondence Values and Attitudes: - Empathy towards children’s needs and family circumstances - Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the school community - Patience, resilience, and a proactive approach when dealing with challenging situations - A collaborative mindset willing to work alongside teachers, social workers, external agencies, and families - Passion for supporting young people’s wellbeing alongside their academic progress If you are passionate about making a difference in young people’s lives by strengthening home-school partnerships we would love to hear from you.
