The Sheikh Zayed Private Academy for Boys is seeking a skilled Facilities Assistant who will provide operational and maintenance support to ensure the safe, efficient and effective operation of school facilities and staff accommodation. The role is responsible for carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance, supporting facilities operations, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to a safe, well-maintained environment for staff, students and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Provide emergency and general maintenance support for facilities and equipment within the school.
Carry out day-to-day maintenance tasks across electrical, mechanical, civil, and general disciplines
Conduct regular inspections of campus facilities and report material and follow-up work requirements to the Operations Specialist
Establish and maintain good working relationships with support staff and sub-contracted staff
Assist with facilities administration and maintenance documentation
Assist in the preparation and set-up of school events
Assist in managing school traffic during student arrival and dismissal times
Be willing to undergo training and specialist development where required
Ensure awareness of and adherence to all SZPA OSH policies and procedures
Report all OSH incidents and participate in incident investigations as appropriate
Take part in risk assessments, emergency drills, and other OSH-related programmes
Immediately report any situation presenting a potential hazard to the Operations Specialist
