Location: Penny Tree School, Birmingham, B30 3ES
Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday | 8.00am – 4.00pm
Salary: £27,560 per annum (not pro rata)
Contract: Permanent | 52 Weeks
Start: November 2026

At Penny Tree School, we're looking for a proactive Facilities Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. What You'll Be Doing
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, repairs and general site improvements.
Help maintain the school buildings, grounds and equipment to a high standard.
Complete routine inspections and identify maintenance or health and safety issues.
Support refurbishment projects, decorating and general upkeep of the school environment.
Work alongside contractors and suppliers, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
Carry out fire safety checks, emergency procedures and basic compliance inspections.
Ensure tools, equipment and materials are stored and used safely in line with Health & Safety and COSHH regulations.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and assist with risk assessments where required.
