Steephill School is seeking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our warm and welcoming team, supporting pupils within our Early Years Hub.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Support teaching and learning within a Early Years classroom
  • Work with individual pupils and small groups to support progress and engagement
  • Help to create a positive, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
  • Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing and social development
  • Work closely with class teachers and the wider staff team
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school
We are looking for someone who:
  • Has experience of working within Early Years
  • Has a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Is kind, patient and nurturing
  • Has good literacy, numeracy and communication skills
  • Works well as part of a team
  • Has high expectations for children’s learning and behaviour
  • Demonstrates flexibility, initiative and enthusiasm
  • Shares the values and ethos of Steephill School
