EYFS Practitioner

We are currently seeking an experienced Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Practitioner to join our dedicated team. Position: EYFS Practitioner Type: Full-time Early Years Practitioner Minimum Experience: 2 years Role Overview: As an EYFS Practitioner at St. Mary’s, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of children aged 3-5 years. You will work closely with teachers and other staff members to create a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and confidence. Skills and Qualifications: - Minimum of 2 years’ experience working within an EYFS setting or similar early years environment - Relevant qualifications such as Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (or equivalent) - Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development principles - Ability to plan engaging activities that support all areas of learning including communication, physical development, personal social emotional development, literacy, numeracy, and creative arts - Excellent communication skills with both children and adults - Ability to observe children’s progress accurately and contribute effectively to assessments - Team player who can collaborate well with colleagues while also working independently when required Values and Attitudes: - A genuine passion for working with young children and helping them reach their full potential - Commitment to upholding the school’s Catholic ethos - Patience, kindness, empathy combined with enthusiasm for early childhood education - Willingness to engage positively with parents/carers as partners in their child’s learning journey - Dedication to continuous professional development If you are passionate about making a positive difference during these formative years
