Within the education sector, Shaftesbury has one school, Shaftesbury Victoria School, and 2 further education colleges, Shaftesbury Millie College and Shaftesbury Nash College. About the Role
We are looking for an ambitious, experienced EYFS or SEN/ASC practitioner to lead and develop our Explorer Pathway (EYFS) at Victoria School. This pivotal role owns curriculum delivery, sequencing and EHCP adaptation for every child entering our LIFE curriculum, and drives the standard of teaching, pupil progress and pastoral care across the pathway.
You will be responsible for translating our LIFE curriculum intent – Love of Learning, Independence, Future, Enrichment – into ambitious, communication-rich practice from day one, and for holding your team to account for the quality of that provision.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape how Victoria School's youngest, most complex learners begin their education – leading a dedicated Early Years team, building vibrant indoor and outdoor learning environments, and working closely with therapists and families from a child's very first weeks with us.
The successful candidate will be an outstanding EYFS or SEN/ASC teacher with a proven record of raising standards, strong data and moderation skills, and the leadership presence to coach a team and hold it to account. You will be imaginative, resilient and fully committed to inclusive education for students facing significant barriers to learning.
