The Trust
Established in 2011, the Griffin Schools Trust (GST) is a family of thirteen primary and secondary schools in the Midlands and the South East of England. The Trust is committed to providing an excellent education for all students and has a long track record in school improvement, leadership and support. This has been evidenced by Ofsted, independent external validation, staff, parent and pupil feedback, increased pupil numbers and above national rates of staff retention.
Trustees and GST leaders share a conviction that great schools are built on rich extra-curricular programmes and high-quality pastoral care as well as an inspiring curriculum, expertly taught. The Trust seeks to build community and communality across its schools, promoting unity rather than uniformity and enabling each school to lead its own journey to success. It is a given that schools work together within and cross phase to enhance their provision, speed their journeys to ‘great’ and foster proud traditions, widen horizons and promote high achievement.
The Opportunity
Due to the retirement of the long serving Executive Head at NCS, we are seeking to appoint a dedicated, experienced leader to continue to drive this thriving school. The school was judged by Ofsted to be Good in all areas in April 2024 and the report confirmed that ‘staff and pupils share the same ambitions’. The new Executive Head of NCS will play a pivotal role as part of our North Warwickshire collegiate of four schools. For the successful candidate, there may be the opportunity to join the Trust’s wider Executive Leadership Team with a regional/national portfolio beyond the school. The precise nature of the role will be negotiated with a suitable candidate.
