Exams Officer

Pay: KSD (Pro rated to actual working hours)

Start Date: October 2026

Interviews: September 2026

• Pay Grade: KSD £27,904 - £29,020 fte, £20,825 - £21,755 actual
• 30 hours a week, 41 weeks per year – Term Time Plus 10 days (to include both GCSE and A Level results days)
• Monday to Friday 8am to 2.30pm with a 30 minutes daily unpaid lunch break

An opportunity has arisen to join our successful, happy and forward-thinking school as an Exams Officer.

The post holder will:

• be responsible for the organisation and smooth running of both internal and external examinations
• act as the primary liaison between the school and external examination bodies
• be familiar with the requirements and regulations placed on schools by both awarding bodies and the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) and will ensure that the school is compliant with these before, during, and after examination periods

• have excellent communication
• have the ability to work under pressure
• be a strong team player
• be able to prioritise workloads at a fast pace
