About this role
We are seeking a calm, supportive and organised Examinations Manager for our Senior Schools and Sixth Form from 1 DSeptember 2026. The Examinations Manager focuses on the planning and delivery of the mock & public examinations and has supervisory responsibility for exam officers and a team of invigilators who work for the School on a part time basis during exam time.
Your prime focus will be the organisation of examination time-tables, examination and invigilation processes, and logistical aspects of reasonable adjustments and special needs. As manager of a team of invigilators, you will recruit and train the invigilating staff, overseeing the highest standards of examination best practice. You will also liaise with examination boards, US universities and teaching colleagues within the School.
This role is vital in upholding the integrity of the examination/assessment process. Applicants will be asked to declare if they have invigilated previously and whether they have any current maladministration/malpractice sanctions applied to them.
The role is full time, c 40 hours a week, and you will need to always be available for formal examinations and during mid to late August for results and review/remarking of examination papers as required.
This role will suit someone with previous experience of managing or supporting the examination arrangements within an educational setting and of handling data. You will be an extremely well-organised individual with a meticulous eye for detail and an ability to relate to young people, andβ―will enjoy being part of the life of our vibrant school. You must be supportive, patient and comfortable giving clear instructions, adapting to individual students needs as required.
