The RoleWe are seeking an experienced and adaptable Middle School ESL teacher to deliver pull-out and push-in support for English language learners. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in education (Master’s preferred) and a valid government-issued teaching license. This role involves supporting ESL students’ language development across all subjects, collaborating closely with mainstream teachers, and using a student-centered, differentiated approach. Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver targeted ESL lessons aligned with the Ontario curriculum and CEFR language levelsSupport students’ development in reading, writing, listening, and speakingDifferentiate instruction based on students’ language proficiency, readiness, and learning profilesCollaborate with mainstream teachers to ensure seamless integration of ESL studentsMonitor and assess student progress using diagnostic, formative, and summative toolsCommunicate regularly with parents via Toddle regarding student learning and developmentContribute to curriculum development, team planning, and professional learning Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Education or TESOL-related field with recognized teaching certificationMinimum 5 years of teaching experience in middle school or lower secondary educationExperience teaching English language learners in pull-out or push-in settingsFamiliarity with CEFR-aligned assessment, scaffolding, and differentiation strategiesExperience supporting SEN learners and inclusive practices is an advantageKnowledge of the Ontario curriculum preferred; familiarity with IB or Cambridge curricula is a plusStrong classroom management, collaboration, and communication skills What We Value at SI
