English Tutor (GCSE English Language & Literature) - Ipswich, Suffolk

This role requires face to face tutors so applicants would need to be able to travel to Ipswich for this role. About the roleAs an English Tutor, you will deliver engaging and inspiring lessons to students studying Key Stage 3 and GCSE English Language and English Literature. You'll tailor lessons to each student's needs, helping them strengthen their reading, writing, analytical and communication skills while developing the confidence to succeed in their examinations. All tuition is delivered face-to-face at our tuition centre in the heart of Ipswich. Your responsibilitiesDeliver high-quality one-to-one and small group tuition Plan engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum Support students with reading comprehension, creative writing, essay writing and exam technique Adapt teaching to suit individual learning styles Build students' confidence and enjoyment of English Monitor progress and provide clear, constructive feedback Support students in achieving their academic targets We're looking for someone who:Has at least one year's teaching or tutoring experience Has strong subject knowledge in GCSE English Language and/or English Literature Can teach Key Stage 3 and GCSE English confidently Communicates clearly and build positive relationships with students Is organised, reliable and professional Is passionate about helping young people succeed Can travel to our centre in central Ipswich at least once a week Ideal forQualified teachers Retired teachers Experienced tutors Teachers on maternity or career breaks ECTs and PGCE graduates with tutoring or teaching experience Professionals looking for additional income through flexible evening or weekend work
