English Teacher

Lancashire Alternative Provision is a supportive and inclusive school focusing on students with SEMH needs based in Blackpool, dedicated to providing quality education tailored to meet the needs of all students. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic English Teacher to join our team and will teach KS3 and KS4 English/Functional Skills. Position: English Teacher Department: English and Literature Curriculum: Key Stage 3 and 4 Education Stage: Secondary Experience Required: No previous experience necessary Job Description: As an English Teacher at Lancashire Alternative Provision, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that inspire a love of literature and language among Key Stage 3 and 4 students. You will work closely with colleagues to create a positive learning environment that supports student progress and development. Skills and Qualifications: - A strong command of the English language - Good communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to engage and motivate young learners - Understanding of Key Stage 3 and 4 curriculum requirements (training provided) - Willingness to learn new teaching methods and adapt as needed - Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with secondary school students Values and Attitudes: - Commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom where every student feels valued - Positive attitude towards supporting diverse learning needs - Dedication to continuous professional development - Collaborative approach when working within a team environment - Passion for helping young people achieve their potential through education No prior teaching experience is required; full training will be provided.
