About this role
ISR International School on the Rhine is a private, coeducational school catering for students from Kindergarten through to Grade 12. The school operates a non-selective admissions policy and has an enrolment of over 1000 students with more than 60 nationalities represented in the student body.
The English & EAL teacher will be expected to create and deliver engaging lessons that captivate students' interest and foster a deep understanding of the core concepts within the realms of the English Language and Literature. This encompasses not only conveying theoretical knowledge but also applying innovative teaching methodologies to cultivate critical thinking skills and real-world applicability.
Roles and responsibilities:
Ensure high-quality delivery of teaching and learning experiences for both English native speakers and English as an Additional Language (EAL) learners in Grades 1–6
Design and implement effective assessments that align with Cambridge standards.
Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their learning and academic growth.
Monitor and enhance student progress, welfare, and academic outcomes within the realm of English.
Take a proactive role in implementing school policies, with a specific focus on safeguarding and promoting equal opportunities for all students.
Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development and improvement of the English curricula.
Qualifications:
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in education or related field
Teaching experience in English
Demonstrated ability to integrate technology and innovative teaching methods into the English curriculum
Excellent classroom management
Experience of working in an international school is desired
