The Role Communication and literacy are key life skills. Through the English curriculum, we help children to develop the knowledge and confidence that will enable them to communicate effectively and creatively with a diverse range of people. This is for a September 2026 start; therefore, early applications are encouraged. We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, well-qualified and inspirational teacher who will encourage a love of literature and inspire creativity in all our pupils. Beyond the classroom, the school calendar has a plan of all activities over the academic year, including author visits, debating and off-site theatre trips. The school is a busy place, and demands are high, both inside and outside the classroom; however, in return, staff receive excellent working conditions in a beautiful environment, supportive colleagues and children who are motivated and keen to learn. The successful candidate will ideally have the relevant experience of working within a school environment and the ability to establish positive relationships with children. We are looking for an individual with a calm and reassuring nature who values organisation and punctuality. There may be the possibility of staff accommodation on site in return for boarding duties. Westbourne House creates a safe, supportive and fun boarding environment for children to help them develop into caring, self-reliant and confident individuals.
