About this role
Bishop Wordsworth’s School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and highly capable full time Teacher of English to join our successful and ambitious English Department. The department also has an exceptional reputation for public speaking and enrichment, regularly qualifying for regional finals and hosting competitions. Our students are curious, articulate and academically ambitious, responding positively to challenging and engaging teaching within a culture of high expectations and scholarship. The successful candidate will join a collaborative and supportive department.
We are seeking a colleague with strong subject knowledge, a passion for literature which extends beyond the confines of examinations, and the ability to inspire and challenge students of all abilities.
