We are looking for an experienced and confident Employee Relations Advisor to play a key role in shaping a positive and supportive working environment across Millfield. This is an exciting opportunity to take the lead on complex and sensitive employee relations matters, working closely with the Head of HR and other senior leaders to provide expert, pragmatic advice and ensure a fair, consistent and legally compliant approach to people management throughout the School.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead on a wide range of employee relations casework, including disciplinary, grievance, capability and investigation processes
Conduct complex and sensitive investigations, producing clear, evidence-based reports and recommendations
Provide expert, pragmatic advice to senior leaders and managers on employment law and best practice
Support organisational change processes, including restructures and consultation exercises
Identify and manage risk, escalating complex issues where appropriate, and supporting a positive employee relations culture
About You:
Proven experience managing complex employment relations casework, including grievances, disciplinaries, investigations and hearings
Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and best practice
Confident advising senior stakeholders on sensitive and complex people issues
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to produce clear written reports
Calm, professional and resilient, with a fair and solutions-focused approach
CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) or equivalent experience is desirable
Working Hours & Salary:
Contract: Full-time, year-round position
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5.00pm
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum, dependent on skills and experience
