The school places emotional wellbeing at the heart of its educational approach and offers a highly collaborative, supportive working environment where staff are encouraged to develop professionally while making a genuine difference to young people’s lives. You will be joining a dedicated Therapies and Intervention Team that works closely across the school to deliver a holistic, pupil‑centred provision aligned to EHCP objectives and best practice in wellbeing support. Your new role As an Emotional Wellbeing Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils and students experiencing social, emotional and mental health challenges. Working alongside the Emotional Wellbeing Manager, you will help deliver targeted emotional wellbeing interventions using CBT‑based strategies through the school’s mentoring and intervention programmes. Your responsibilities will include providing one‑to‑one and group mentoring, supporting therapeutic programmes, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to intervention planning and review. You will work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, parents and carers to ensure a consistent and supportive approach that promotes positive behaviour, engagement and progress.
