ELP Learning Coach (TA)

The Collegiate Trust is looking for an enthusiastic and committed ELP Learning Coach to join our Quest Primary School team. What does the role involve?The main aim of the role is to provide day-to-day classroom support primarily to a small group of pupils within our ELP 1 class (all with EHCPs) to ensure they are best supported to access the learning and make the best possible academic and personal progress. You will follow the guidance of the class teacher and assist with tasks as directed by them, providing feedback to the class teacher about achievements and next steps, as well as keeping records relating to targets. You will also provide pastoral support to the children, building professional relationships that 5develop their confidence, resilience and learning behaviours so they feel happy and safe in school. Other duties will include supervision of pupils at breaktimes/lunchtimes and liaising with parents and carers where necessary. Our Enhanced Learning Provision (ELP) is for 16 pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties and split into 2 classes of approximately 8 children each. We are looking for an individual who has a passion for working with children with special educational needs and is committed to making a difference to their everyday experiences and life chances.
