Sherborne Schools Group is seeking a skilled and motivated Electrician to join our Estates Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work across our prestigious schools, helping to maintain and develop a diverse estate while ensuring the safe, efficient and compliant operation of electrical systems and infrastructure.
As part of a busy and professional Estates Department, you will undertake a wide range of planned and reactive maintenance tasks, installations, inspections and repairs across multiple sites. From lighting and power systems to data cabling, access control systems and building management systems, no two days will be the same. You will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operation of our schools and contributing to a safe environment for pupils, staff and visitors.
We are looking for a qualified electrician with strong fault-finding skills, a proactive approach and a commitment to delivering high standards of workmanship. The successful candidate will be confident working independently as well as collaboratively within a team and will take pride in providing an excellent service to our school communities.
About YouYou will hold a recognised electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent) and have experience in electrical installation, maintenance and repair. An 18th Edition qualification is desirable, along with inspection and testing experience. A full UK driving licence is essential.
You will be practical, organised and solution-focused, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a busy and varied environment. Experience of working within a large estate, educational setting or multi-site environment would be advantageous.
