About this role
Dear colleague,
Thank you for your interest in working with us at The British International School, Ukraine (BISU). In this letter I want to tell you a little about working here and to give you the information you will need if you decide to apply for the job.
Working in Early Years Education at BISU
You would be joining our team of 50 international and Ukrainian teachers, working with our up to 200 students aged 3-18 in classes of around 10-15. During term time (which roughly follows the English terms) you would spend around 26 hours teaching. The rest of your 40 hour week would be frees, available for your PPA work and meetings. Our teaching day runs from 8:15 to 16:30 and your timetable will include an hour for lunch.
Your teaching will cover the Cambridge Pathway for Early Years, so you will be using and building your skills and subject knowledge at all Early Years levels.
We are also a creative school, and we aim to give you a high degree of autonomy in how you teach this content. This is both because we will learn from you and also because we are committed to creating inspiring, engaging, and high-quality lessons focussing on practical skills and design principles.
Above all, we are dedicated to progressive teaching methods that promote experimentation, problem solving and critical evaluation of design. We would expect you to share our passions.
Your workplace
Your workspace will be furnished with the essentials, and we're happy to accommodate any specific needs to ensure your optimal work environment. Our school is housed in a modern building in a prestigious business area.
Your other opportunities at BISU:
Socially: opportunities for socialising and meeting others
