About the Role:
As an Early Years Support Assistant at Glenesk School, you will play a vital role in supporting a child’s learning, welfare, and personal development. Working closely with the Class Teacher and SENDCo, you will provide dedicated 1:1 support, helping the child access the Early Years curriculum and overcome daily challenges. Your responsibilities will include assisting with classroom activities, promoting positive behaviour, and ensuring the child’s safety and well-being throughout the school day. You will also liaise with parents and professionals, maintain accurate records, and contribute to the wider life of the school.
This is a part-time, 1:1 EYFS support role needed for one day per week (on Tuesdays), working directly with a young child to support their development and learning. This is a fixed-term contract dependent on the continuation of the child’s local council funding.
