Driver & Porter (term time)

Responsible to: Head of Logistics Location: Foundation sites Role Description The School Porter plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the school by maintaining a clean, safe and secure environment for staff, students and visitors. As the friendly face of the school for many visitors, you will provide a positive first impression and contribute to the overall well-being of the school community. This role is to commence in September onwards, and we are recruiting for 3 positions. Main Responsibilities: Acting as meet and greet for visitors and events; this may include out of hours events (including Open Days). Portering duties. Driving duties for Forest School, Home to School Transport, PE, trips, Co-curricular, PE and any ad hoc requirements. Maintaining the overall appearance of all school grounds. Regular property checks and completion of any actions required. Moving furniture and setting up for various school functions. Supporting the Estates department with relevant compliance checks (inclusive of weekly fire alarm, fire exit, extinguisher checks etc). Deliver post, parcels and ad hoc items to various departments. Management of waste areas and collections. Assist with smaller scale routine repairs and maintenance if required and reporting maintenance issues via the Estates ticketing system. Ensure drains are cleared. Clear up all spillages. Any other duties allocated. General Responsibilities Act as an excellent ambassador for Stephen Perse at all times. Build and maintain good working relationships with all Stephen Perse colleagues. Assist as necessary in other Stephen Perse areas at peak times. Work at all times towards the aims and goals of Stephen Perse and any individual objectives and targets you may have agreed. Proactively identify areas for improvements within Stephen Perse.
