As Director of Pastoral Care, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across the Academy’s pastoral systems, helping to ensure that every student is known, supported and able to thrive. Working closely with colleagues across the school, you will lead approaches that promote positive behaviour, high attendance, strong engagement and a safe, respectful learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead the Academy’s pastoral provision with clarity and purpose, setting high expectations for attendance, behaviour, rewards and well-being.
· Develop and strengthen an effective pastoral care system that supports students across KS3, KS4 and KS5.
· Ensure the Academy remains fully compliant with pastoral and organisational requirements, maintaining robust systems and procedures.
· Drive improvement initiatives that raise attendance, punctuality, well-being, rewards, behaviour and engagement.
· Oversee school-based sanctions and staff duties, ensuring consistency, fairness and effective implementation.
· Work strategically to support the most vulnerable students, including those who present with challenging behaviour, so that they receive personalised support and can succeed academically and personally.
