Director of Finance & Operations

Stafford Grammar School Stafford Grammar School is seeking to appoint a Director of Finance & Operations at an important point in the school’s development. Working closely with the Headteacher and Governing Board, the successful candidate will provide the financial and operational leadership needed to support the school’s long-term sustainability and future direction. This is a senior leadership appointment with responsibility for both the strategic and operational management of the school’s business functions. The School Stafford Grammar School is a well-established independent co-educational day school for pupils aged 3–19. The Role The Director of Finance & Operations is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership across the school’s financial and support services. Key responsibilities include: Leading financial planning, budgeting and forecasting. Developing long-term financial models and scenario planning. Providing financial analysis and strategic advice to Governors and senior leaders. Leading estates, facilities, compliance, health and safety and operational services. Identifying and evaluating appropriate commercial and income generation opportunities. Supporting strategic planning and organisational development. Ensuring effective governance, risk management and regulatory compliance. Leading and developing professional support staff teams.
